Python classes — common questions

What age is right for Python classes?

Our current Python class is for Grades 4–5 — kids who are comfortable reading and typing. Younger, first-time coders usually start with Scratch (Grades 2–3) and move into Python when they're ready.

Does my child need coding experience first?

No. Our Beginner Python classes assume zero prior experience — we start with the very basics. If your child already knows some coding, we'll place them at a higher level so they're challenged, not bored.

What will my child actually build?

Real Python programs — interactive projects, small games, and Turtle drawings. Every 6-week block ends with a project kids can show off.

How are the classes taught?

In person at Farmland Elementary (Media Center (2nd floor)), Fridays 4–5 PM, in small groups (max 10 kids) with a real instructor. Laptops are provided in class. Online Python classes are coming soon.
